⊰ Princess Mononoke costume ⊱

Hebrew🇮🇱

After watching the film Princess Mononoke, when my older daughter was kindergarten age (definitely too young for its content but that did not stop us), she knew exactly what she wanted to dress up as for Purim.

We made the costume together. That was more important to me than getting everything perfectly accurate.

Long before Purim, assuming everyone knew the movie, she started dropping hints to the kindergarten teacher about her costume, for example, “Her mother has two tails,” and felt like she had completely revealed the secret.

On Purim itself, she was in character and addressed the other children with loathing as “humans.”

I debated whether to add this to the site in the costumes section, and in the end decided it actually fits the blog better.
