⊰ Space Coat ⊱
This coat was designed for a participant in the ongoing LARP Space Saga, which takes place aboard a spaceship in Lod.
He sent me reference links with motifs and things he liked so I could understand what he had in mind, and I tried to include as many of them as possible, maybe even more than what’s reasonable…
Before I started, it was important for me to ask and understand details about his character in the game: personality, background, social status, and anything he wanted to share, so I could tailor the design to the vibe he wanted to convey.
I’m happy to report that he’s very pleased and confirms that the final result captures and reflects the essence of his character.
I added an ad-line banner to the sleeve,
it deserves a dedicated page of its own.

Many of the elements I added are unique and tailored to this specific character.
The front drawing is based on the emblem of the spaceship he commands.
That’s also where the “shoulder horns” came from, and though it’s hard to see in the photos, there are also large ‘gears’ beneath the epaulettes.
After he told me that his character admires the officer who recruited him to the Human-Fleet, I contacted that player and, with his permission, added a signature to the sleeve.

with a few explanations.
The coat that was handed over to me was brand new, still in its packaging.
Keychain holder, before and after adjustments to match the coat’s style.
Matching gloves
Hood: on the right, pink is the inner side and on the left in light blue is the outer side.
A ribcage drawn on the inner fabric.
A pattern I designed for the back of the sleeve.
Here you can clearly see the drawing based on his spaceship’s symbol.
Left shoulder: Human Fleet's patch; Right shoulder: his spaceship symbol.
Under the pocket flaps, I hid a link to my QR page.
Control panel, illuminated in red when turned on. The switch on top activates the lights in the back and shoulder armor.
Inside the collar, a neck light is threaded, which can be hidden between the inner fabric layer and the outer leather layer.
