An anvil I made for a blacksmith’s forge in LARP. The base is made from thick double-corrugated cardboard, with details built up using paper mache made from newspaper and glue.
I gave it a base coat of paint, then added a heavy, worn look with touches of metallic shine where it would’ve been polished from use - and a bit of rust here and there (sounds like an Eyal Shani recipe).

I knew it turned out well when someone actually thought it was legit and tried to sit on it - I gasped.
